Our program’s are designed for boys and girls ages 2 years to 6 years old.
Lil’ Sluggers (2yrs to 6yrs)
We have the lowest student/instructor ratios than any child development sports program, with average class sizes of 4 to 6 children. Most Lil Sluggers classes are held in climate controlled sports facilities and each class lasts 45 minutes. Classes are grouped by age with careful attention to skill level and ages of participants.
We strongly recommend children participate in the proper age appropriate classes as defined in our literature and website. The proper class is determined by the child’s age at the first class of the session. Any exceptions must be approved by the program director and will be assessed for suitability by the instructor in the first class of the session. Classes are held weekly.
$216 for our full 12 week session($18.00 per week). Classes are prorated weekly so new customers join anytime as long as there is space available.
We keep our classes to a maximum of 6 kids per class where the other sports programs we have up to 10 kids per class.
Classes are 45 minutes.
$3 discount per class for 1 sport only.

Lil’ SLuggers (2yrs – 6yrs)
Mascots – 2 year olds:
This is a parent participation class. The Mascots curriculum is designed to have the children begin their baseball experience in a fun environment that also introduces simple basics of the game.
Simple base running and base recognition. Hitting; holding the bat properly, focusing on making contact with the ball off of a tee.
Throwing in an overhand motion. Fielding, with emphasis on using two hands and not falling down. Fitness and agility. Improved hand/eye coordination. An introduction to social skills such as following simple instructions and taking turns.
Minors – 3 year olds:
The Minors curriculum is designed to have the children continue their baseball experience in a fun environment that also reinforces the fundamentals of the game. (Parent/caregiver participation as needed)
Simple base running and base recognition.
Hitting, focusing on proper stance and level swing to make contact with the ball off the tee. Introduction to hitting from a pitch.
Throwing…point, step, and throw with proper motion and aim. Fielding, with emphasis on using two hands, staying in front of the ball and not falling down. Improved hand/eye coordination.
Understanding straightforward game situations, such as throwing a player out. Improved hand/eye coordination.
Fitness and agility.
Advancement of social skills such as following instructions, taking turns and teamwork.
Majors – 4 year olds:
The Majors curriculum expands on the skills learned in the 3 year old program, with slightly more technical instruction and game situations.
Teaching kids baseball
Proper base running and sliding techniques.
Hitting, focusing on proper stance, level swing, and follow through off the tee. Begin hitting from a pitch by the coach.
Throwing…point, step, and throw with proper motion for distance and accuracy. Improved hand/eye coordination.
Fielding, with emphasis on using two hands, staying in front of the ball.Catching pop flies with two hands.
Learning various offensive and defensive game situations.
Fitness and agility.
Hall of Famers – 5 & 6 year olds:
The Hall of Famers curriculum is designed to have the children continue improving their fundamental skills while preparing them for their next level of participation, organized tee-ball.
Base recognition and proper base running techniques. Five steps of hitting with focus on proper form including full swing and hip rotation.
Correct throwing mechanics emphasizing accuracy and distance. Proper fielding technique, keeping their body in front of the ball. Using the baseball glove for fielding of line drives and pop fly catches.
Fitness and agility.
Lil Sluggers is a child development program created to introduce Kids ages 2-5 to the game of baseball.
Lil Sluggers classes helps the child develop important baseball skills such as throwing, catching, hitting, and base running.
Developmentally appropriate equipment and games are used to teach your child the game of baseball in a fun, exciting, and positive indoor environment.
Lil Sluggers has small class sizes, maximum 6 students per class.
All classes are held indoors.
Each Lil Sluggers class lasts 45-50 minutes.
No equipment is necessary for 2 and 3 year olds.
For 4 and 5 year olds baseball gloves are recommended.

Sports activities are an integral part of a child’s physical and social development. Lil Sluggers is designed to make fitness fun while your child develops self-confidence and joy for the game of baseball.
